Load Shedding Solutions (Pty) Ltd
Reg. No. 2023/837227/07
Trading as PowerPulse Innovations

PowerPulse Innovations was established to address structural weaknesses emerging within decentralised energy environments—particularly those exposed through sustained grid instability and load shedding conditions. The company operates at the intersection of distributed generation, appliance protection, and embedded control architecture.

Engineering origin

The South African load shedding environment revealed recurring patterns: appliance failure during switching cycles, geyser bursts and premature breakdown, inverter overload, and unmanaged peak demand—often escalating into avoidable costs and claims.

Most market responses are reactive—repairing or replacing damaged equipment after failure. PowerPulse was developed as a preventative control solution: stabilising load behaviour, managing switching events, and reducing thermal and electrical stress.

Unified control architecture

Three market deployments. One underlying platform.

GridGuard

Load management and grid stability control designed for unreliable supply conditions.

GeyserGuard

Appliance-specific stress mitigation, protection logic, and early warning signals.

SolarBoost

Optimised integration of geysers within solar environments—without costly upgrades.

These offerings are structured variations of a core switching and control platform, enabling scalability, cross-application adaptability, and defensible engineering continuity.

Intellectual property and structure

The underlying technology has been developed under structured ownership and governance. PowerPulse Innovations operates as the commercialisation vehicle for the platform. The strategy is disciplined infrastructure deployment through licensed installer networks and aligned partnerships—rather than single-product dependency.

Leadership and development

The company was founded by Kevin Pearman, whose engineering background and operational experience within the South African energy environment informed the original control-layer thesis. Development has been driven by real-world field conditions rather than laboratory theory.

Approximately R2.5 million has been invested to reach validated functional prototype stage. The current focus is production readiness, structured deployment, and controlled scale.

Strategic direction

PowerPulse Innovations is positioning itself as an embedded control infrastructure provider—a resilience layer within decentralised energy ecosystems. While developed in response to South Africa’s load shedding context, the structural drivers behind distributed control are globally relevant, creating expansion potential beyond a single geography.
